It is October and I Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Well last month flew by pretty quickly and I have to say, it was wonderful to see all the support for ovarian cancer. Now it is time to salute my sisters of the Pink Ribbon and I mean that in more ways than one.

You see the BRCA 1 gene mutation is alive and well in my family tree. I have two sisters who were affected by breast cancer,
while my mother and myself got ovarian cancer. It really is a toss up, I guess. And there is always the possibility of getting both types of cancer.

That is why I am diligent about getting my mammograms and mri's.
I know my risk for breast cancer is 80% greater because of being BRCA 1.

So while last month I went all out for TEAL
This month belongs to PINK

Know your risks.
