The Pink Ribbon's Ugly Step-Sister

Hi, My name is Dixie. I am a 53 year old post-menopausal female, who as you might have guessed (from the title of this blog), has recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

My diagnosis is so new in fact that I don't even know what stage because you see I can't have surgery until we have resolved the pesky matter of a few blood clots-but more about that later.

This blog is meant to be a journal to write down my thoughts and experiences as I go along, and to update my family and friends. Your comments are always welcome however to any spammers-I will delete BS and that is no BS- so you have been warned. :)
Also I can't offer or recommend treatments ( that has to be between you and your own doctors)I can only tell you of my personal experiences and what I have gained from them.
Thank you for reading.
Life Is Good.

misplaced your number. one of the dialysis nurses I work with went through ovarian cancer and she might have some helpful words of encouragement for you. my # is 617-842-1346.
Hope to hear from you soon.
