Don't be misled by the title. I'm not going to suddenly confess to all my past shenanigans.
Who can remember them all anyhow?
I went for my checkup last Friday and I have great news and not so good news.
Great news: My latest CA-125 came back today at 9! Sweet!
Finally a single digit!
Well within normal limits, and that is the lowest it has ever been. :)
Not so good news: I have a hernia. I kinda knew this anyhow. Just needed confirmation.
It is about 2 inches below my belly button, right beneath my incision line.
Remember the movie Alien?
Well it's not really that bad. :)
It moves.
There is nothing quite like being able to observe one's own peristalsis.
This means more surgery ahead, but we are going to shoot for the summer unless it gets a whole lot worse.
I just really need to watch it with the lifting and bending.
More importantly though-I feel good and blessed.
And thankful for every single day.
I hope that everyone is off to a good start this year.
I wish good health and happiness to all.
Love, Dixie
Uh oh, sorry about the hernia Mom....hope it wasn't goob!
ReplyDeleteAww nawww it wasn't my little sweetums. I'm pretty sure it started right after the 1st surgery, back when I had that infection. Dr. said it wasn't unusual to get one after abdominal surgery. It has just got bigger over time so eventually, it will need to be repaired.
